The Sarin law offices were initially established in 1932 by Mr. Harbans Lal Sarin in Lahore, Pakistan. In 1947 the office was first relocated to Shimla, and then to Chandigarh, India in 1955. Mr. M.L. Sarin joined the office in July, 1971, was awarded James Nelson Raymond International Fellowship and obtained his Masters Degree from Northwestern University, Chicago, USA in 1979. He has been active in the International Young Lawyers Association (AIJA) since 1984 as well as I.B.A. and U.I.A. He has been Advocate General of the State of Punjab twice and Advocate General Haryana once. Known as ‘MAC’ , M L Sarin, heads the office of Sarin & Co. In 1995 he founded the Sarin Memorial Legal Aid Foundation to do pro-bono work, in the field of Environment Law, Blood Banking and to help special children. He has authored several books and edited law journals.
