Banco Daycoval S/A

Banco Daycoval S/A is a financial institution and one of the leading Brazilian middle market banks (commercial banks that specialize in lending to small and medium enterprises). Headquartered in São Paulo, at end December 2008 the distribution network now has 27 branches for corporate customers, located in 16 states and the Federal District. The Cayman Islands branch became fully operational during 2008. The purpose of this branch is Daycoval’s growing trade finance portfolio, to give access to new funding and continue diversify its international business. Bank offers a complete line of products and services for corporate clients, including credit and financing, investment, and trade finance. For individuals it Daycoval offers specialized products such as payroll and auto loans under the Daycred brand. At Decemeber 2008, the distribution network now has 15 exclusive banking correspondents identified as Daycred stores in 10 different states to offer the full array of products and services available from the bank. Daycoval has won widespread market recognition for its conservative profile and the solidity of its capital structure. The Brazilian Central Bank ranking of all private sector banks put Daycoval in 13rd place in December/2008 by shareholders’ equity and 25th place by total assets less net interest income. Daycoval received the award for “best middle market bank” several times and also achieved differentiated credit ratings by the global ratings agencies. It’s listed on Corporate Governance Level 1 oh the São Paulo Stock Exchange (BOVESPA) and trades under ticker symbol DAYC4. In 2008, implemented a Level I ADR program trading in the over-the-counter (OTC) market, with the aim of building even closer ties with investors in the United States and other parts of the world.
