In January 2007, Garrigues commenced operations in Poland as a first step towards setting up for business in other central and eastern European countries. Garrigues’ new Warsaw office boasts a multidisciplinary team of seasoned lawyers with over five years’ experience in the region, coordinated by partners Alejando Miquel and Carlos Rapallo. The Warsaw office provides services in almost all fields of law: real estate and zoning law, financial services and banking law, foreign investment, corporate law and mergers and acquisitions, infrastructure, labor and employment law and litigation.

The office is supported not only by the EU and Competition Law departments of the Madrid and Brussels offices, but also by Taxand, the international network of tax advisers, of which Garrigues is a founding member. Both areas are coordinated from the Warsaw office by lawyers specializing in these fields.

The office is located at the heart of the modern Warsaw Financial Center, a flagship development near the Palace of Culture and Science in the heart of Warsaw’s business district, alongside other reputable international firms.
