Overview:

Founded in 1992, Santos Neto Advogados is currently one of the law boutiques with the most renown in the area of structured finance in Brazil.

Originally led by Domício dos Santos Júnior, the firm was then active in the area of negotiation of collective employment contracts. Since 1996, when Domicio dos Santos Neto joined the firm as a partner, it specialized in banking and finance law, with a sector emphasis on the commodities markets. Domicio dos Santos Neto worked from 1994 to 1996 at Banco Sogeral S.A. (currently Société Générale Brasil), when he had the opportunity to participate in the structuring of the first pre-export facility to a Brazilian sugar mill, and to develop expertise in international financing transactions.

With this new focus, the firm grew together with the development of the Brazilian agribusiness and commodities exports, and became a law boutique highly specialized in banking and finance law, with excellent reputation in structured commodity finance operations.

The firm expanded around this core and today provides legal services also in the areas of corporate law, capital markets, corporate restructuring, civil litigation and labor law. Our clients are many national and international financial institutions, as well as corporates active in the Brazilian commodities market, including international trading companies.

In the beginning of 2011, Ana Gambogi joined Santos Neto Advogados as a partner, and our office in New York was opened. We have a strategy of planned growth, with the gradual increase in the number of our associates to meet the increasing demand for our services. Our team is formed by talented and dedicated professionals who combine in-depth multidisciplinary knowledge with high standards of ethics.
