History:

In 1984, Chuck Duff developed the original business plan for the firm that is now Duff Kitchel. Prior to this, Chuck assisted closely held businesses with tax compliance, financial reporting and managing financial operations with KPMG Peat Marwick. In 1981, he joined a large local accounting firm where he focused on management consulting which involved cutting edge accounting, reporting systems and related software.

In 1989, Chuck recruited Larry Kitchel from Texas A&M University. Larry’s interest in taxation and his dedication to his clients led him to becoming a Duff Kitchel shareholder in 1995.

With varied and complementary skills and a shared belief in the accounting firm business model, Chuck Duff and Larry Kitchel have expanded Duff Kitchel into what it is today: a suite of accounting services for many small to mid-size companies and families with complex accounting needs. With 19 employees, Duff Kitchel provides CFO services, controller and tax accounting services, tailored to our clients’ diverse needs and circumstances.
