Overview:

VOLKSBANK Slovensko, a. s., has been a successful operator on the Slovak market since 1991. The major shareholder of VOLKSBANK Slovensko is the Austrian company Volksbank International AG (VBI). The majority shareholder of VBI, with a 51 % share, is Österreichische Volksbanken-AG. The minority shareholders are the German banks DZ BANK / WGZ- Bank, jointly owning 24.5 %, and the French bank Banque Fédérale des Banques Populaires with an equal share amounting to 24.5 %.

Through the collaboration with Confédération Internationale des Banques Populaires and its 30,000 business outlets in Europe, North Africa, Argentina, Canada and Japan, as well as thanks to DZ Bank’s participation in VBI, VOLKSBANK Slovensko offers its Customers a presence in all the financial hubs around the world.

The underlying philosophy of the Bank is independence, high quality of service, prudent business ventures and healthy, effective trades.

VOLKSBANK Slovensko offers its Customers a complex portfolio of banking products and services enhanced by the share funds of the Austrian company Volksbank Invest, as well as ING IM shares funds and the products of VICTORIA-VOLKSBANKEN Poisťovňa, a. s. life insurance and old age pension products.

VOLKSBANK Slovensko operates a total of 41 business outlets, 16 of which are in Bratislava.
