Who is ADM Investor Services?
ADM Investor Services, Inc. (“ADMIS”) has been a leader in the futures brokerage industry for more than 48 years.
ADMIS roots reach back to the 1930’s with the founding of Tabor Grain and Feed Company, an independently owned grain merchandising operation in Central Illinois. In 1956, the firm expanded to provide customers with investment banking and stock trading services. In 1966, the company changed its name to Tabor Commodities, became a clearing member of the Chicago Board of Trade, and began executing and clearing futures trades. In 1975, the Archer Daniels Midland Company of Decatur, Illinois acquired the firm and in 1985, we adopted the name we continue to use today.
They are wholly-owned subsidiary of the Archer Daniels Midland Company (NYSE: ADM). For more than a century, the people of ADM have tranformed crops into products that serve the vial needs of a growing world. Today, ADM is one of the world's largest agricultrual processors and food ingredient providers, with more than 33,000 employees serving customers in more than 140 countries. With a global value chain that includes more than 470 crop procurement locations, 285 ingredient manufacturing facilities, 40 innovation centers and the world's premier crop transportation network, ADM helps connect the harvest to the home, making products for food, animal feed, chemical and energy uses.
Who is R.J. O’BRIEN?
R.J. O’Brien & Associates is the oldest and largest independent futures broker in the United States. Founded in 1914 in Chicago as a dealer in eggs and butter, they joined the Chicago Mercantile Exchange as a member when it opened for business five years later. After a century, R.J. O’Brien is the only CME founder still in existence. Today, they provide 24-hour execution and clearing on every major futures exchange worldwide.
Their longevity and success as a futures broker are the result of continually focusing on three guiding principles—family, stewardship and integrity.
Because they are majority family-owned, they don’t answer to analysts or quarterly market expectations. They are focused solely on their clients.
Futures brokerage is their primary business, and their client relationships are paramount to everything they do. They do not participate in proprietary trading or hedge against client positions. Their focus is on servicing the trading needs of their clients.
