History:
Business opened in Munich and Dresden at the same time
Klaus Schneider founded Schneider + Partner in 1991 in Munich, and Dr. Bernd Kugelberg simultaneously opened an office in the Schlüterstraße in Dresden. The third shareholder, Hannes Graf, came on board in February 1992. All three of these shareholders had previously worked as managers at Arthur Andersen & Co in Munich. Growth of the company led to Ms. Angelika Perret, another former colleague of the founding shareholders, joining the team in Dresden in November 1992.
Opening of the office in Chemnitz
Early in 1993, the Dresden office moved to Hofmannstraße 23, while Schneider + Partner opened up a branch at Barbarossastraße 60 in Chemnitz. The same year saw the founding of the supra-regional joint practice of Schneider/Graf/Dr. Kugelberg specializing in audits, taxes, and law – with offices in Munich, Ingolstadt, and Dresden. In 1994, the firm acquired the tax advisors Stöckelhuber Treuhandgesellschaft mbH of Munich, which focuses on clients in the media sector.
foundation of the Graf Treuhand GmbH
In 1997, the Munich office moved into new premises at Schackstraße 1, directly across from the Siegestor. Ms. Angelika Perret was appointed that year as managing partner. Two years later in 1999, another Schneider + Partner office opened in Dresden Hellerau. Thereafter, the Graf Treuhand GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungs- und Steuerberatungsgesellschaft was established to create an independent practice concentrating on restructuring and bankruptcy issues. Schneider + Partner celebrated its first decade with a function held in the summer of 2001 at the Carolaschlößchen in Dresden.
appointment of further managers and partners
Mr. Mario Litta was appointed as a tax advisor in 2003 and became managing partner of Graf Treuhand GmbH. Mr. Henning Horn has been with Schneider + Partner since 1994, and took over as managing partner in 2004. In the same year, Mr. Thomas Hock, who had been a manager at the Schneider + Partner office in Munich since 1999, was appointed as additional managing partner.
Opening of the new office building in Dresden
The next major step in the growth of Schneider + Partner occurred early in 2005, when the three Dresden offices were consolidated and moved into the office building in Lortzingstraße 37. This event was celebrated with an open door day on June 10, 2005 – attended by over 400 clients and prominent representatives from business, politics, science, and cultural sectors. Since April 2005, this office houses over 100 personnel, including many tax advisors, certified public accountants, and attorneys. |
