Loyens & Loeff as an employer

Loyens & Loeff’s culture is primarily one of continuous development and inspiration. A culture in which self-development is extremely important and ambitious goals are fostered and can be achieved. Lawyers, tax lawyers and civil-law notaries work in teams that combine these various disciplines and devote much of their time to sharing knowledge. The goal of this is to maintain our lead in the competitive legal services field. And to ensure that all employees of Loyens & Loeff reach their full potential.

For new staff, Loyens & Loeff is an employer that offers excellent conditions of employment. Career guidance and personal development are key elements. In addition to required career education, talented employees are given every opportunity to develop further by taking in-house courses and being assigned a personal mentor. A great deal of attention is devoted to the development of communication and commercial skills. For many people, a stay at one of our foreign offices or an affiliated firm abroad is an enriching and inspiring experience.
History of Loyens & Loeff

Loyens & Loeff was created on 1 January 2000 through a merger between the tax consultancy firm Loyens & Volkmaars and the lawyers and civil-law notaries of Loeff Claeys Verbeke. The traditions of these firms began in the early 1900s. Through this merger, Loyens & Loeff became the first firm where lawyers, tax lawyers and civil-law notaries play equal roles. Offering the services in a integrated fashion provides significant added value for Loyens & Loeff clients. The collaboration between the various specialists within one office works to the client’s advantage. A question is tackled from different angles, which creates synergy and increases efficiency. We created a new standard in the tax and legal world.
International expertise

From its inception, Loyens & Loeff ’s expertise has stretched across borders. In addition to seven offices in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, Loyens & Loeff has eleven offices in the world’s major financial centres. Loyens & Loeff is independent, not part of a global conglomerate. In order to satisfy the international demand for advisory services, Loyens & Loeff maintains intensive relationships with prominent law and tax firms in Europe, the United States and various Asian countries. In this way, we offer our clients top-level advice worldwide and are capable of effectively structuring and supervising both domestic and foreign matters.
