BNP Paribas Cardif represents the insurance arm of BNP Paribas Group, present on the Romanian market through its two life and non life operating entities: Cardif Assurance Vie S.A. Paris Sucursala Bucuresti and Cardif-Assurances Risques Divers S.A. Paris Sucursala Bucuresti, starting with January 2007.

BNP Paribas Cardif Romania is focused 100% on the ‘B2B2C' business model, it develops and sells protection products as well as the related services through the intermediary of banks, consumer credit companies, leasing, telecom, retail and utilities companies. The cooperation between BNP Paribas Cardif and the financial institutions constitutes the source of its force and uniqueness, while the characteristics of the insurance products provided by the company allow the easy implementation of these ones, together with the partners' products.

BNP Paribas Cardif Romania is the leader in terms of Creditor Protection Insurance (CPI) attached to sales finance products distributed within the retail networks, being one of the most important ‘involuntary unemployment' coverage providers in Romania. The company is also the first provider of Extended Warranty for Brown & White goods on the local market, distributed in the large networks of different retailers, as an insurance product.

The experience in the bancassurance field contributes significantly to providing insurance products that meet its clients' expectations and needs. BNP Paribas Cardif Romania is not a simple provider of insurance products, but it brings added value to its partnerships by implementing a profit centre and by supplying high-quality professional services.

BNP Paribas Cardif became one of the most important bancassurance providers on the local market, having partnerships with three top 10 banks, with one of the largest mobile telephony operators in Romania and with No. 1 in the consumer loans market.
