Overview:

Headquartered in San Francisco, WHV Investments is focused on providing clients with compelling investment strategies to meet the current needs of institutional clients and financial intermediaries. WHV’s sole business is investment management. The firm was founded by William Wentworth in January of 1937. The firm initially began providing investment counselling to individuals in 1937 with the goal of helping clients meet their investment goals. In 1945, the firm began managing tax-exempt institutional accounts. In 1966, Kurt Hauser and Paul Violich left Brundage, Story and Rose in New York and joined the San Francisco firm founded by Mr. Wentworth. In 1975, the firm’s name was changed to Wentworth, Hauser and Violich. In 2012, the firm changed its name to WHV Investments. In 2013, WHV began its evolution to grow into a multi-boutique asset manager.

WHV believes that strong partnerships are the foundation of success. Building relationships with our clients is critical to ensure we meet their current needs and understand how we can help them going forward. We then identify exceptional investment teams that are providing solutions to meet these needs. Building strong partnerships with investment teams enables them to focus on the execution of investment strategies and delivering results for client. Partnerships, compelling strategies and exceptional investment teams are the focal points for WHV.

WHV employs a rigorous quantitative and qualitative due diligence process when evaluating potential investment partners. Our process scrutinizes the investment philosophy, process, professional staff and ultimate investment decision process implemented by asset managers.
