Beattie Marcus & Co is a locally established firm of Chartered Accountants, based in Larne, supplying a wide range of services to the people and businesses of South and East Antrim. The firm was established in 1978 and currently consists of 2 partners and 9 staff. It prides itself in its continuity of staff and is a Recognised Training Firm for new Chartered Accountants.

Beattie Marcus & Co provide a comprehensive range of financial, business and taxation services to a wide range of clients, from the personal to medium sized business. Audit & Accountancy

As registered auditors, if your business requires to be audited then we can do this, but we like to go beyond the basic statutory obligation so that we can advise you on improvements to your financial systems to make the business both more efficient and more profitable for you. One of our core areas is preparation of Financial Accounts for all types of businesses from the small sole trader to partnerships and limited companies and advising these businesses on all kinds of financial and taxation matters.

Tax Consultancy

In our tax consultancy we cover a wide spectrum including completion of your personal Self Assessment Returns by using the most up to date computer software providing you not only with your Tax Return but complete details of your tax liability and therefore enabling us to provide you with further tax planning advice. We ensure that you comply with the tax rules, but we also want to assist you to minimise your tax bill.

VAT Consultancy

In helping you deal with the VAT man we can help you decide what you can do and we can do the rest, from helping you maintain your VAT records to computing your Returns and providing you with VAT planning advice.

Payroll Bureau Service

Many of our cliients are only too pleased to free themselves of the payroll burden and get on with running the business. We use Sage Software to run your payroll, provide you with payslips, deal with Sick Pay, Maternity Pay, Holiday Pay, Working Family Tax Credit, Student Loan repayments, starters and leavers P45's, end of year Returns and P60's as well as providing you with details of your monthly or quarterly liabilities.

Financial Services

We are registered with the Financial Services Authority to carry out investment business and therefore aim to provide our clients with a complete service of personal tax planning and investment advice. We would also like to help you plan your estate so that some day the minimum amount has to be taken in Inheritance Tax.

Professional Fee Insurance

We can provide our clients with Professional Fee Protection Insurance against investigation by the Inland Revenue and Customs and Excise. This cover is negotiated at a special fee for our practice with Abbey Tax Protection, one of the best known companies providing this service. As part of this service our clients have access to specialist consultancy advice in these areas.
