History:
WS Walker & Company was founded by Mr. William "Bill" Walker on 13 January 1964. Mr. Walker established WS Walker & Company in a small, two-room office space in George Town, Grand Cayman and was sole practitioner of our firm until 1967. Under his management, WS Walker & Company continued to grow and prosper. During the seventies, we acquired more staff and moved to larger premises. By the early eighties, WS Walker & Company had six associates on staff, including current Global Managing Partner, Grant Stein. By 1999, we had moved into Walker House, shortened our name to "Walkers" and opened our first overseas office in London.
Mr. Walker, retired that year having watched the firm he established grow into one of the largest and most successful law firms in the Cayman Islands. Widely acknowledged as one of the founders of the Cayman Islands' financial sector, Mr. Walker continued to advise on the development of Cayman's own financial sector legislation.
Later, Walkers opened more offices in the British Virgin Islands (2002), Hong Kong (2003), Dubai (2005), Jersey (2006), Singapore (2009) and Delaware (2010) establishing a truly global presence. Today Walkers has some 500 staff in eight offices worldwide, all of whom benefit from the foundation Mr. Walker laid and the professional opportunities he helped create. |

With offices in the Cayman Islands, British Virgin Islands and Jersey the group is comprised of fund services provider, Walkers Fund Services Limited and SPV and corporate services providers, Walkers SPV Limited, Walkers (Jersey) Limited and Walkers (BVI) Limited. The management group delivers timely, effective service based on an in-depth knowledge of the regulations and commercial environment in the jurisdictions they operate from.
