Cooper, Travis & Company, PLC was founded in 1981 by Richard Cooper (retired) and Philip T. Travis. Each had devoted their careers to public accounting for construction specific clientele until that time. Partner Hillious Sullivan joined soon thereafter in 1984. After 35 successful years the firm has become the stand out leader serving the construction and real estate development field in the southeastern United States. Although clients are primarily located in and around Nashville, Knoxville and Chattanooga, Tennessee the firm has a significant presence throughout surrounding states including Kentucky, North Carolina, Alabama and Georgia. The firm is two generations strong with Tim Cooper joining the firm in 1998 and Philip C. Travis in 2010. The firm has a total professional staff of 18 all with extensive knowledge of the construction industry.

As a firm we pride ourselves on giving our clients the professional expertise and guidance unique to their industry and performing and producing on a timely basis. Our job is to adequately convey a clients options for service and then tailor that service to provide the assurance level they need in the most efficient manner possible. We have a client retention rate above 99% and once engaged very rarely do we lose a client. This is predicated on a philosophy centered around always maintaining continuity on every engagement of the best and brightest experienced professionals, having the capacity to get the job done by the deadline.
