Pacific Foundation Securities Limited (“Pacific Foundation”) is a registered securities dealer with the Securities and Futures Commission (“SFC”), holding three seats on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited holding 3 trading rights. Fraternity Hedge Fund was incorporated on 8 December, 2003 with limited liability as an exempted company under the Companies Law (2003 Revision) of the Cayman Islands. It is managed by Pacific Foundation Securities Limited.

Strategy of the Fund

Focusing on Greater China SME equities, the Fund aims to maximize investment returns within tolerable risk levels. While we employ a value-oriented/ bottom-up approach to selecting and evaluating securities in the portfolio, our investment manager will also look for market abnormalities and inefficiencies from which the Fund can benefit.

All our investment decisions are based on results of a series of consistent and rigorous analysis and valuation processes. Typically we look for value companies that offer a sizable discount to their intrinsic value or growth companies that have a bright prospect, high caliber management and sound corporate governance, and which stocks are reasonably priced.

The Investment Manager utilizes a self-developed proprietary trading system to monitor market and portfolio data, detect market trends, analyze opportunities for profitable trading, and optimize holdings in the portfolio. As necessary and appropriate, we manage our portfolio risks by using derivative instruments and adjusting cash levels.

The overall investment objective of the Company will not be amended without Shareholders' approval by way of ordinary resolution. However, the investment policies described above may be amended from time to time by the Board if, in its absolute discretion, it deems it to be in the best interests of the Company. Shareholders will be notified of any material amendments.
