Mission statement:

‘The International Family Office Association is a not for profit
organisation providing objective information and collaboration
for the needs and interests of family members and those establishing, managing or servicing the Family Office sector globally.’

Overview:

The Founding Directors combined professional experience in running private single family offices, or working with single family offices and ultra high net worth individuals, is in excess of 90 years.

Two of the Founding Directors are currently responsible for their own single family offices and have accumulated wealth in venture capital, financial services and the mining sector. Another has worked directly with USA based single family offices over the last decade.

Since the early 1980’s they have also worked with many other wealthy families throughout the World on numerous projects including Australia, the UK, USA, Korea, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong and China. However in the last 20 years there has been a focus on Asia due to exposure in the mining, oil and gas industries.

The establishment of the IFOA has been as a result of encouragement from our international contacts, particularly in Asia. We recognize the importance and rapid growth in wealth of our Asia neighbours and their interest to learn about the benefits of creating family office entities and networking and communicating with like minded members, globally. We aim to ensure the IFOA has a strong Asian focus on membership, research and networking well into the future.

The Founding Directors and Life Members of the IFOA are members of various professional Organisations and Associations and adhere to their ethics and standards.
