At ClearStructure we are focused on delivering value to our clients by following a few basic beliefs.

As the former IT group of an asset manager, we understand the frustrations with software firms which offer outdated technology, provide slow or non-existent support and seem to charge for every small request, support call or upgrade. We help our clients avoid these pains by adhering to the following principles:

1) As business needs change your systems should keep up

Financial markets are constantly changing and your business needs to adapt, but too often systems do not keep up. This is due to a number of reasons including inflexible architecture, unresponsive vendors and outdated technology. At ClearStructure we have positioned our firm and our products to ensure we keep up with innovations in both technology and the financial markets so you never have to worry about your systems keeping pace.

2) Each client should be viewed as a partner

At ClearStructure we still remember that our most important relationship is with our clients. Working closely with our clients allows us to make sure they are getting the most from our products. We actively seek input from our clients to determine our roadmap and ensure their suggestions and requests are implemented in a timely manner.

3) Costs should be transparent

Many software firms profess to deliver value but then charge for every upgrade, support call or feature request. We understand how frustrating that can be so at ClearStructure our support and upgrades are included in our standard contract. As for consulting charges, new feature requests are only billed if the feature is specific for that particular client and cannot be utilized by our wider client base (i.e. custom reports, internal feeds, etc.).

History:

Founded in 1999, ClearStructure was formed to further the development and marketing of a portfolio management system originally created at a Connecticut-based asset management firm.

The team which founded ClearStructure Financial Technology was formerly the IT group at Atlantic Asset Management (AAM) in Stamford, Connecticut. While working for AAM this group developed a portfolio management system, called Sentry, to better assist AAM in the management and operational tasks for their fixed income accounts.

In 1998 AAM issued its first CDO and the necessary functionality to manage the fund was added to Sentry. In 1999 the team relocated to Danbury Connecticut and Atlantic Information Services was formed (the firm would later changed its name to ClearStructure Financial Technology) to continue the development and marketing of Sentry.

After several years of growth in the US, in 2006 ClearStructure Financial Technology established a presence in Europe by opening an office in London to serve ClearStructure's growing European client base. Today with a foundation of top EMEA-based asset managers and financial institutions as clients, ClearStructure continues to expand in EMEA.

In 2009 ClearStructure released its first product built specifically for the sell-side. Sentry LT, for bank loan trading, was built using the latest technology and continues the tradition of ClearStructure delivering next generation applications to the financial industry.

Today ClearStructure has offices in Danbury CT, Houston TX and London England. Our clients number among the largest and most well-respected financial institutions in the world. We utilize our more than 10 years of direct experience as a firm serving financial professionals to deliver products which emphasize flexibility, integration and automation.
