Overview:
The Hong Kong office opened in 2008 and represents international clients in a range of cross-border transactions and other complex matters. This includes three of the firm's top-tier practices, all of which have significant exposure in the market: lodging and gaming, a booming sector across the region; sports law, as the world's sports leagues continue to expand globally; and private investment funds, a growing industry as private equity, hedge and sovereign wealth vehicles search out and capitalize on the multitude of opportunities in the region.
Corporate partner Yuval Tal is the resident partner of our Hong Kong office. He has significant experience representing U.S. and foreign clients on financing, mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings (public and private, debt and equity), reorganizations and structured finance. He has worked in industries as diverse as biotechnology and apparel, telecommunications and real estate. As a member of our Lodging and Gaming Practice Group, he has worked on transactions involving hotel development and construction, licensing and franchising, management, acquisition and sale, restructuring and public offerings involving hotel and casino companies. Mr. Tal has also represented private equity and venture capital funds in the U.S., Europe and Israel, including J.P. Morgan and DLJ, in the structuring, restructuring, management and disposition of investments. |
