Overview:
«BTA Bank» CJSC history starts in 1996 when «Eridan» Joint-Stock Bank was established. For its working period «Eridan» JSC successfully took its place in the banking market of Kyrgyzstan providing its clients with a large range of services.
In 2001 «Eridan» JSC was renamed into «Ineximbank» Closed Joint-Stock Company. Since then the Bank, shown itself as a reliable, fast growing bank, has started its rapid development that has strengthened the trust of international financial institutions to the Bank and allowed to actively invest into private sector of Kyrgyzstan. «Ineximbank» CJSC became the first bank in the country which EBRD signed an agreement on development of credit system for small and micro business (IMF) with. IMF Program is aimed to develop small and medium business in Kyrgyzstan. According to the Program conditions there were credits granted for development of working business in manufacturing, trade and services fields. Positive factors of the Program are favorable terms of financing (from USD 500 to USD 100000, 17–25% per annum, for 3 years term), flexible approach to the guaranty included in diversification of collateralized property. One of the micro credits types is express-credit which is granting of credit without any registration of bid security that makes the procedure much simpler and shortens the terms of credit receiving by businessmen up to 2 days. The Bank is the leader of the Program as evidenced by the award given to the Bank as to a winner in the Program development. The Board of Directors of this financial institution took a decision about rewarding «Ineximbank» CJSC with a gold medal «For high quality in business practice».
According to the results of annual competition «The best bank of the year» holding by «Euromoney», a popular European magazine, in 2007 «Ineximbank» CJSC was recognized to be the best bank in Kyrgyzstan. Growth of the Bank financial measures, successful holding of an expansion strategy and a high level of corporate management were considered to be the most important achievements of the Bank. The best banks were defined separately in every region. There are such big and widely known banks as «City Bank» (the USA), «Deutsche Bank» (Germany), «Société Général» (France), «Raiffeisen Bank» (Austria) among the nominees. «TuranAlem Bank» was recognized the best one in Central Asia.
A strategic decision on renaming of «Ineximbank» CJSC into «BTA Bank» CJSC was taken during a General Shareholders meeting in the end of December, 2007, as «Ineximbank» became a part of the BTA financial group. The decision on the Bank renaming was made in accordance with the holding of general conception of rebranding and renaming of the whole BTA structure. «BTA Bank» CJSC became an assignee of «Ineximbank» CJSC after the realization of all necessary law procedures in March, 2008.
Stable activities and reputation of a reliable partner is what is appreciated in business. Assets of the present «BTA Bank» CJSC for January, 1 st, 2008 made over KGS 5 543 million, credit portfolio for clients made over KGS 3 287 million that allowed «BTA Bank» CJSC to take the first place according to this characteristic. Annual growth of the credit portfolio is about 196%. Growth of fixed-term deposits as of January, 1 st, 2008 in contrast to January, 1 st, 2007 made 219%. Today nominal capital of the Bank is KGS 800 million, whereby total capital of «BTA Bank» CJSC is KGS 1 billion.
«BTA Bank» CJSC has created and been supporting correspondent relations with 25 largest banks of the CIS and neighboring countries. Now the Bank is implementing the full volume of bank operations in national and foreign currency admitted in international banking practice.
For the whole working period the external audit of the Bank activity was held by recognized international audit-consulting companies which go into «Big Four» and are leaders in the field of professional bookkeeping and consulting services.
The year 2007 for «BTA Bank» CJSC was spent under the motto of strategic development and improvement of the services quality. The Bank is continuing realization of the project on geographical extension, providing services for population of Kyrgyzstan. Today the Bank has 14 branches working in such cities and towns as Bishkek (2), Osh (2), Jalalabat, Uzgen, Karasuu, Kyzylkiya, Kochkorka, Tokmok, Karabalta, Cholponata, Karakol, Bokonbaevo and 57 saving-banks. |
