Overview:

The St. James's Place Group specialises in delivering financial advice to people who have accumulated capital over the years.

So, as well as addressing simple and straightforward issues such as mortgages, banking and insurance, we can help to resolve more complex problems for clients, whether it be investment for growth, inheritance tax or retirement planning.

In general, we provide reliable and expert advice for individuals and businesses seeking to achieve four principal financial objectives:

Build and preserve your capital
Manage your cash and borrowings
Protect yourself against financial risk
Manage your business more effectively

Whatever the situation, we respond with reliable and personal advice designed to suit our clients' individual requirements.

Our Guarantee

An important point to bear in mind is that the St. James's Place Wealth Management Group guarantees the advice given by its representatives when recommending any of the products and services provided by companies in the group.
History:

The St. James's Place Group was established in 1991, under the name of the J. Rothschild Assurance Group, by Mike Wilson, Sir Mark Weinberg and Lord Rothschild.

St. James's Place was floated on the stock market in 1997 and its market capitalisation places it within the FTSE 250 Index and it is highly regarded within the industry.

In June 2000 HBoS, a 'Top Ten' FTSE 100 Company, took a 60% shareholding in St. James's Place.

With effect from 9 May 2006, St. James's Place Capital was renamed St. James's Place plc. This was due to the fact that the Board had disposed of all its non-core investments, so they felt it was appropriate to remove the word 'Capital' from the company name.

In January 2009, HBoS plc merged with Lloyds TSB to form Lloyds Banking Group plc. Lloyds Banking Group plc now owns a 60% shareholding in St. James's Place.
