Overview:

African Energy Resources (AFR) is an ASX listed energy company focussed on developing the Sese coal project in eastern Botswana. The 100% owned project is located 50km to the south of the mining hub of Francistown, and is immediately west of the existing rail, road and power corridor which runs the length of eastern Botswana, and which connects through into neighbouring Zimbabwe and South Africa and on into nearby Zambia and Mozambique.

The Company has completed a maiden JORC resource on the project, delineating an Indicated Resource containing 500 Mt of coal and an Inferred Resource of 2,230 Mt. The Company has also commenced a conceptual study to evaluate two potential options for the Sese project which is expected to be finalised by the middle of the year.

In addition to the Sese coal project, the Company owns the Chirundu Project in Zambia where a total resource inventory of 11.1Mlb U3O8 occurs in Measured, Indicated and Inferred resources. This advanced project is currently undergoing a Bankable Feasibility Study (BFS) and indications to date are that the project could support a 7-8 year project life.
