Overview:

Link is a young, innovative and flexible company specialising in intermediary broking services to the investment community. We offer our professional client base anonymity, competitive execution and liquidity in a range of financial instruments globally.

We have offices in London and Hong Kong. Our clients are predominantly market counterparties or professional investors dealing in equities and fixed income products, both cash and derivatives.

In markets where risk can be complex and non-standard, our ability to understand and relay financial information in an efficient and knowledgeable way, greatly adds to the liquidity available to our clients and enables them to trade at the best prices.

We attribute our success to the strength of our client relationships and to our ability to attract and retain key staff. We train our brokers to the highest professional standards in order that they disseminate market information intelligently, confidently and accurately.

History:

Incorporated in 1997 the Link Asset & Securities Co Ltd started with a small team of brokers experienced in European equity derivatives. With extensive market knowledge and the ability to understand their clients’ needs, our brokers were able to negotiate privately between buyers and sellers and execute wholesale trades against each other ‘over the counter’.

By 2002 Link had become members of LIFFE, Eurex and Euronext, Europe’s main derivatives exchanges. This development allowed us to operate as an agency (or matched principal) broker, enabling banks and other market counterparties to trade against each other anonymously.

In 2005 Link established a European cash equity execution desk. This desk offers clients the ability to trade shares on the leading European exchanges, by means of either Link’s exchange memberships, a third-party ‘DMA’ (Direct Market Access) solution, or, in specific markets, our relationship with a ‘local’ broker.

Link’s cash business is supplemented by the addition of a ‘Crossbook’ team, allowing clients to trade ADRs against ‘ordinary’ shares.
