History:

Smith Adcock and Company LLP provides quality, personalized financial guidance and assistance to businesses, individuals, and not-for-profit organizations. The firm was established in 1948 by Harold E. Smith and James R. Adcock who guided the initial growth of the firm and the successful transition to the next generation of leadership. The Atlanta office has been in its current location in historic Buckhead nestled next to Chastain Park since 1985.Expertise at this office ranges from traditional tax management and accounting services to more extensive services such as audits, reviews, and compilations of financial statements, and financial planning consulting for individuals and businesses. We have been a staple of Atlanta’s business and financial community for over sixty years, and pride ourselves on the level of esteem we have earned over that time.

The firm established the Athens, Georgia office in 1988. Located on Milledge Avenue in part of classic downtown Athens, the Athens office specializes in serving small businesses and their owners, non-profit organizations, farmers, and individuals with complexities in their tax situations. Communication is key, and they focus on accessibility, making their advice and expertise easy to hear and to implement. Athens is thriving, and our firm is pleased to serve and be a part of the Athens community.
