Overview:

At Cannon & Company we pride ourselves in low staff turnover. Our turnover is considerably less than most national firms. With a total staff of 29, all of our directors (three) have worked at Cannon & Company for at least 20 years. Our professional staff on average have worked at Cannon & Company six years and our three managers average 12 years of service. We feel this experience can help you obtain your goals and assist your staff with problems and helpful solutions. We also do not have to re-train our staff over and over to understand your needs, which is an ultimate cost savings to you.

Our Credentials

We are affiliated with the (AICPA) American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the (TSCPA) Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants both of which provide technical guidance and continuing education for our professional staff. Our affiliation with CPA Associates allows us to draw on a wealth of resources and talent necessary to assist you and your needs. Through the more than forty-five CPA firms in North America and the more than seventy-five additional CPA firms internationally we have assisted our clients in various ways. We have available technical experience and affordable consultants through the CPA Associates affiliates, if you encounter a situation we have not directly experienced at Cannon & Company. Through our CPA Associates affiliates, we have access to other firms with additional experience. Many times the consultants are the leading experts in their respective fields, which will allow you a personal audience and easy access through our affiliation.

Quality assurance is maintained by requiring that all professional staff acquire a minimum of 40 CPE hours annually. Additionally, a peer review is conducted to establish that Cannon & Company has the procedures in place to meet the quality control standards for accounting and auditing as established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

Cannon & Company was founded in 1959 and has been working with members of the Memphis business community for over 50 years.
