Citibank Europe plc with its registered seat at 1 North Wall Quay, Dublin 1, Republic of Ireland, registered with the Companies Registration Office, registration number 132781, conducting its business activity in the Slovak Republic through Citibank Europe plc, pobocka zahranicnej banky with its registered seat at MlynskÃ© nivy 43, 825 01 Bratislava, Slovak Republic, business number 36 861 260, registered with the Commercial Register of District Court Bratislava I, Section Po, Insert No. 1662/B (hereinafter as "bank") has been conducting its business in the Slovak Republic in areas of banking and financial services since January 1, 2009. The bank is legal successor of Citibank (Slovakia) a.s., which conducted its business in the Slovak Republic from November 1, 1995 to December 31, 2008 based on the banking license issued by the National Bank of Slovakia.

The bank has been awarded by Global Finance the Best Corporate/Institutional Internet Bank Award for 3 consecutive years and by Euromoney the Best Cash Management House Award for second consecutive year.

The bank was rated third by Trend weekly in the "Bank of the Year 2000" competition and second in the "Bank of the Year 2002" competition.

In 1997, 1998 and 1999, the bank was awarded the "Best Foreign Bank in Slovakia" by Euromoney magazine - a magazine whose awards rank among the most respectable indicators of performance of international financial institutions.

In 2008 Citi was awarded by the Slovak Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs & Family in the competition "Family Friendly Employer" in the category "Equal opportunities for men and women" (3rd place).

In the same year the bank received also the Philanthropy Prize 2008, 1st place in Education category, for its support to the Economics for Leaders program in Slovakia (to see Corporate Social Responsibility chapter).
