Today, Helvea operates under the brand “Helvea-Baader Bank Group” signifying the coming together of Helvea’s core business with that of Baader Bank AG, making it a well positioned and strongly placed supra-regional broker covering the Switzerland, Germany and Austria region.

Historically, Helvea’s teams have successfully focused on providing core equity investment services, such as Research, Sales, Sales Trading and Execution. The business had been developed originally at Pictet & Cie
(from 1990 to 2004). Helvea was owned by its employees until the time that it was fully acquired in August 2013
by Baader Bank AG.

The name Helvea was chosen in 2004 to reflect the core market of the company by relating to Switzerland’s Latin name “Confederation Helvetica”. It has become a strong brand to institutional investors and corporates.

With more than 600 institutional clients in Europe and North America, the Helvea-Baader Bank Group’s research, sales and trading teams provide professional brokerage services combining:

   In-depth bottom up research on around 100 Swiss equities as well as covering certain key European sectors such as financials and healthcare
