To assist our independent members to grow and strengthen their practices by providing: resources on an international scale to service them, their clients and potential clients, forums to learn, tools and services to assist in their practices, promotion of their firm and other opportunities to improve their business.

Overview:

BKR International

As one of the top 10 global accounting associations BKR International represents the combined strength of 160 independent accounting and business advisory firms in over 500 offices and 80 countries around the world. Large enough to offer a full range of services, yet small enough to provide personal service and connections, BKR member firms are committed to delivering superior client service throughout the world.

The BKR name came from the initials of three of its founding member firms and was formed in 1989 as the result of a merger between a US-based group and members of a European group.

BKR International member firms are selected for their local influence, expertise and international capability. Member firms not only adhere to their local regulatory accreditation, but also meet higher global standards of ethical and professional excellence.

EMEA REGION

As a member of the BKR EMEA region, our members have access to a number of resources at both regional level and worldwide.

Sharing resources and information to enhance and expand their services, BKR members are part of a global team that has access to wide ranging financial and tax expertise.

The Europe, Middle East and Africa region covers almost 50 countries, with 65 individual member firms. BKR firms offer clients the best of both worlds: personalised local service with global expertise and established connections throughout the world.

Members attend an annual regional conference, in addition to receiving regular updates on technical issues, such as IFRS, as well as the opportunity to attend annual technical meetings for Tax and Audit, amongst receiving access to many other regular services and resources.

The EMEA region also holds annual sub-regional meetings, which provide opportunities, in a smaller and more intimate setting, for practitioners to get to know each other and to be involved in discussions, especially where they share very similar issues and challenges.

There is also an annual Worldwide conference which in 2014 celebrated BKR’s 25th anniversary in San Francisco. Annual conferences are always very well attended and prove to be extremely successful events, providing the opportunity for all members to meet and participate in constructive and informative seminars and lectures on current international issues, as well as attending social activities to encourage networking and to pursue opportunities to work together.
