In January 1998, the firm associated with HLB International, who through its member firms, can assist clients to do business in over 100 countries, with annual billings of US$ 1.7 billion, generated by more than 1,750 member firm partners and 14,000 staff in over 480 offices.

The other South African member firm of HLB International is HLB Marx Gore and Associates in Cape Town. We have extensive experience and ability to service a broad spectrum of clients including, local, national and international corporations. The personal involvement of partners in all client engagements is a feature of the service provided by HLB Barnett Chown Inc.
Presently the firm consists of 5 directors and 60 staff members. The staff quota includes 30 trainee accountants to whom we can offer international employment opportunities upon completion of their articles.
