RMT Accountants and Business Advisors was established in 1954 as Robert Miller Tate & Co and today is one of the region's largest firms of independent accountants and business advisors.
Based in Gosforth and employing a team of over 85 people, our business is led by six partners with expertise in a broad range of client services - including auditing and accounting, specialist tax, business advice, corporate finance and recovery and insolvency. Clients are at the heart of RMT and we believe that no other regional practice offers the breadth and range of services that we have available.

Our corporate division handles clients with annual turnover ranging from £2m to £50m and spans a diverse mix of sectors. Although our portfolio is primarily based in the North East of England, we also work closely with clients across the UK as well as in Europe, the US and Asia. The division is manned by a proactive, experienced team who are adept at dealing with accounting, tax and business disciplines for medium to large corporations.
Auditing, the preparation of statutory financial statements and full corporation tax management are among the key services we provide. Our value-added extras include advising on the presentation of accounts, minimising tax liabilities, dealing with banking relationships and advising on company systems, technology and controls. |
