History:
The founders of our firm have an unequalled reputation.
Founded more than fifty years ago under the name Jasmin & Marcoux by the Bвtonniers Yvon Jasmin, Q.C. and Alfred Tourigny, Q.C., our firm was then specializing in civil law.
During 1974, Mtre Marcoux left the firm, and Mtre Jasmin was appointed as a judge of the Quebec Superior Court.
Following a series of alliances between distinguished members of the legal community at that time, the firm becomes known as St-Germain, Marchand, Jasmin & Melanзon, and later as Marchand, Jasmin & Melanзon.
Since the late 1970s, our firm has developed an expertise in business law, particularly in financing, securities, law and purchases, sales, mergers and restructuring of business entities, as well as in commercial litigation.
In December 1990, our firm welcomed Mtre Pierre Magnan, Mtre Yves Forget, Mtre Serge Boucher and Mtre Yves Tourangeau as partners, and at the same time changed its name to Marchand Magnan Melanзon Forget.
Over the years, our firm expanded by recruiting key players to develop the areas of real estate law, business law and tax law. In fact, the number of lawyers in our firm has more than doubled over the last 5 years.
Since January 1, 2004, our firm is known under the name of MARCHAND MELANЗON FORGET (MMF).
It currently relies on about 35 lawyers of various expertise as well as a dynamic support staff, and has the benefit of an efficient structure allowing it to offer you quality service at competitive prices.
Ever since our inception, we have grown a reputation of excellence in client services. Today, we continue to live up to our reputation. |
