Vector Securities, L.L.C. is a privately-held investment and merchant banking firm focused exclusively on the healthcare industry. Formed in 2001, the firm continues the strong tradition of its predecessor organizations, Vector Securities International, Inc., which, until its acquisition by Prudential Securities in 1999, was the largest investment bank focused exclusively on healthcare, and the Prudential Vector Healthcare Group, which was regarded as one of the preeminent healthcare groups on Wall Street.

Vector Securities operates two related businesses. Through Vector Securities International, L.L.C., our investment banking division, we act as financial advisor to later-stage private companies and small- to mid-capitalization public companies. Through Vector Investment Partners, L.L.C., our merchant banking division, we originate and manage selected private equity investments and invest as a principal in healthcare companies.

Vector’s mission is to provide the highest quality investment banking services to our clients and to be a valued partner to our portfolio companies. We seek to build long-term relationships and are committed to providing dedicated, senior-level attention to all of our clients, regardless of size.

History:

In early 1988, a team of senior professionals recognizing the need for an investment bank specializing in healthcare and life sciences, founded Vector Securities International, Inc. This senior team distinguished itself through demonstrated creativity in structuring and completing mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances and equity offerings. This was accomplished by blending the depth and experience of Vector’s scientific experts and life sciences industry professionals, with its seasoned team of investment bankers and capital markets experts.

In mid-1999, the Vector Securities team joined forces with Prudential Securities to form the Prudential Vector Healthcare Group, which remained the investment bank of choice for many public and private companies seeking merger and acquisition advice and/or access to capital.
