Caixa-Banco De Investimento SA

Overview:

Caixa – Banco de Investimento, SA (“CaixaBI”) is today the investment bank arm of Group Caixa Geral de Depósitos, SA (“Group CGD”), the biggest Portuguese banking group and the only financial institution 100% controlled by the Portuguese State, with a strong tradition and a long history in the country’s financial system.

CaixaBI directly benefits from all the synergies inherent from Group CGD, with a special focus on its solid financial performance (the best international long-term rating in the Portuguese financial system of AA- by Fitch, Aa3 by Moody’s and A+ from S&P).
CaixaBI has been developing a structure that will enable it to live in an effective control environment guaranteed by a system of compliance and within a successful model of corporate governance.

The close relationship between CaixaBI and the major Portuguese companies (it is even a reference shareholder in some) is evidence of its strong commitment to quality in services provided, its innovation and performance.
These qualities enable CaixaBI to position itself as a bank of excellence in the Portuguese financial system and a partner of reference not only to domestic corporations but also to foreign companies with interests in Portugal.

CaixaBI is an investment bank with a young and dynamic structure that, together with the strength and tradition of the CGD Group and in an environment of global competition, grants it excellent capabilities to pro-actively guarantee the financial solutions that best fit its clients’ needs.

CaixaBI is organized in a pattern of business areas so that it is better able to follow its target market – the main corporate players in Portugal.
