HLB Linn Goppold Treuhand GmbH

History:

On the 1st of January in the year 1950, Maximilian Seifried, PhD, Auditor, Tax Consultant, Legal Adviser and Business Graduate, left his employ as the assistant to the top management of the Spaten Brewery and ventured out on his own as an independent tax consultant. Maximilian Seifert acquired the shares of the 'Süd- u. West-Treuhand GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungs- und Steuerberatungsgesellschaft für Süd- und Westdeutschland' (South & West Trust Company for South and West Germany, LLC according to German law). His offices were located in Munich, Paul-Heyse-Strasse near the central railway station. After his departure from the Spaten Brewery, Maximilian Seifert kept working for this firm for another 30 years as a consultant of the brewery's owner family and as the chairman of the supervisory board.

Over the years, several partners joined the consulting firm. They are Franz Kirchmeier (auditor, tax consultant and business graduate), Max Hagenauer, PhD (auditor, tax consultant and business graduate),  Friedemann Hertzog (auditor, tax consultant and business graduate) and Josef Dippert (auditor and tax consultant). Josef Dippert was already in the 1930s well-known in Germany as an auditor who had specialized in the brewery business.

Werner Lippert, PhD (auditor and tax consultant) joined the partners in October 1987.

Three more partners joined in the early 1990s, namely Gerhard Goppold, PhD (1991, CEO, auditor, tax consultant and business graduate), Heinz Höfling, PhD (1993, lawyer and tax consultant) and Detlef Ortseifen (1994, auditor, tax consultant and business graduate).

In 2003, Maximilian Seifert, PhD, retired from the firm at age 88.  The firm moved to its new modern headquarters 175 Leopoldstrasse in downtown Munich in December 2003. There, the foundations for further success and progress took shape.

On January 01, 2004, the above mentioned partners who had formed a private partnership according to the German Civil Code became part of the firm 'Seifried, Linn, Goppold & Partner GmbH', Auditors and Tax Consultants'. At the same time, the firm registered under the new name 'Linn Goppold Treuhand GmbH.' (LG Trust, LLC under German law).
