Marsh Africa (Pty) Ltd is a separate operating company within the Marsh Inc. Group which has the responsibility for growing the Marsh footprint in Africa outside of South Africa.

Marsh Africa is actively extending its sphere of influence via our Subsidiaries, Affiliates and Correspondent Companies throughout the continent including emerging ecomonies such as Angola and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Click here to view these operations.

At Marsh Africa, we aim to support all these operations by means of Broking Services, Business Development opportunities, Maintenance of Service Standards, Training and other Risk Management Products and Services. By having access to all the resources, products and services of the greater Marsh Group worldwide, and in particular those in Marsh in South Africa, we are able to ensure that our Business Partners throughout Africa can provide a world-class service to both Marsh Global Clients as well as their own Local Clients.

Areas of Focus

While we are able to offer advice and proactive service in all classes of insurance for all business sectors, we are currently concentrating our efforts on the following areas:

   * Mining
   * Construction
   * Hospitality
   * Telecommunications
   * Public Utilities
   * Marine and Energy

Broking Services

Our Broking Services include insurance and reinsurance placement, support and technical advice for the Marsh Subsidiaries, Affiliates and Correspondents in Africa. We are also able to place Pan-African Insurance Programmes for Clients who have operations in a number of African territories so as to help minimise insurance costs across the continent.

In saying this, it should be noted that Marsh Africa is very concsious of the Legislation governing insurance in the various countries of Africa, and we abide by the regulations in both spirit and deed.

   * Specialist Broking Services - (e.g. Marine, Aviation, Credit and Political Risks Insurance)
