Overview:
Lippo Group was founded by its Chairman, Dr. Mochtar Riady in the 1950s. It consists of private and public companies in China mainland, Hong Kong and Macau; Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore and South Korea with US$11 billion in assets. Lippo Group has over 15 public-listed companies in different parts of Asia including Hong Kong, Indonesia and Singapore.

Property investment and development
This includes fully integrated satellite cities, houses, condominiums, Grade A office towers, industrial estates, shopping malls, hotels, country clubs and golf courses. Lippo Group has proven track record in transforming undeveloped plots into residential estates, commercial offices and shopping malls in China mainland and Indonesia. The Group is renowned for its expertise in the development of large-scale residential projects and up-market condominiums as well as Grade A office towers, and has gained substantial presence in the major markets of Asia. The Group has interests in five-star hotel operating in Singapore, Malaysia and China Mainland. PT Lippo Karawaci, the Group’s public-listed real estate developer in Indonesia, was awarded the Best Developer in Indonesia by Euromoney magazine in 2007.
Retail business
The Group’s retail business includes hyper malls, supermarket chains, department stores and entertainment business in Indonesia, Singapore and China Mainland. It also involves in the retail and distribution of consumer food and non-food products, health and beauty products.
Other investments
Other strategic investments and services of the Group include financial services, telecommunication service, information technology and cable TV. Its financial services comprise commercial banking, investment banking, life insurance, general insurance, securities broking and underwriting, asset management and mutual funds with focus on the Asia Pacific region. Lippo Group has also invested in healthcare services e.g. hospital management and chain stores selling medicine and medical equipment.
