JP Magson is a leading independent firm of Chartered Accountants, Certified Public Accountants, economists and business advisers. We specialise in advising entrepreneurial businesses, public and not-for-profit organisations and through our associate firms we serve listed companies and other special industry inquiries. The firm offers a full range of services that include auditing & assurance, accounting, tax, risk advisory, investigations, company secretarial services, project monitoring and evaluation and consulting services we will work closely with you or your management team to understand what you want to achieve. We have 4 partners (2 equity) and staff operating from our country offices at Ntinda. We will offer local expertise backed up by the resources of a national firm and its key associates globally. JP Magson is an independent Correspondent Member firm of JP Magson International an association of legally independent firms. JP Magson International is a major international association of independent accounting firms and business advisers that has been meeting the needs of clients with interests in more than one country for more than 49 years. The association has over 300 offices across the world. Each JP Magson member is an independent legal entity in its own country. A grouping of members who include JP Magson in their firm's name are classified as network firms in compliance with EU and IFAC requirements.
Our membership means that we can, through collaboration with other JP Magson member firms, offer sound advice on a range of international issues. Today, JP MAGSON, the Ugandan Member Firm of JP Magson International, has access and support of over 300 independent offices of JP Magson member firms across the world that can be approached for assistance in delivery on cross border or international engagements. |

History:
Since the firm's founding 5 years ago, JP MAGSON has and continues pride itself on the core values of professionalism & competence, honesty and integrity, responsibility and accountability, Teamwork and dedication, independence, confidentiality, strong client relationships and quality. These values have proved critical to our continued growth and success in the market place.
JP MAGSON was founded as a sole proprietorship by Musabe James Magson in Kampala Uganda in the first quarter of 2007 and all legal registration procedures were completed on the 14th March 2007. In 2009, he was joined by Joel Kale Byaruhanga as the second partner and the firm’s status changed from a sole proprietorship to a partnership but trading under the same names and thus seized the opportunity to provide comprehensive client service.
Since then the firm has continued to grow, becoming a truly national firm by the end of 2009. In 2011, after a thorough review of the quality of work and internal firm procedures by the JP Magson International review team; the firm was admitted to join JP Magson International. JP Magson International is a major international association of independent accounting firms and business advisers that has been meeting the needs of clients with interests in more than one country for more than 49 years. The association has over 300 offices across the world. Each JP Magson member is an independent legal entity in its own country.
