Overview:
The core business of ERGO is focused on private individuals and covers the areas of insurance, provision and asset management. ERGO holds a strong position in life and health insurance, as well as Property and Casualty business.
Outside Germany, the ERGO Insurance Group is present in 21 European countries. The focus abroad is also based on private customer business with personal insurance cover in promising markets.
The major shareholder is Munich Re with a 94.7 % stake in the Company.
The enormous sales strength of the ERGO Group is backed by more than 21,000 self-employed representatives. Moreover ERGO works together with brokers and strong co-operation partners using a variety of distribution channels to attract the customers.
In the Russian insurance market ERGO is represented by its subsidiaries JSIC RUSS (non- life insurance) and ERGO Life (life insurance).
RUSS and ERGO Life's main reinsurance carrier is Munich Re, one of the worlds largest reinsurers. Our partner list also includes brokers Marsh and Aon, which are important players in the world broker market. This means that our clients can expect the highest quality services. Control of personnel and agents work are priorities of the company. All of it is of a quality that meets the ERGO Groups standards.
ERGO Life offers a wide range of life insurance products including endowment, term life insurance, whole life insurance and education annuities. As state-funded education gets gradually phased out, education annuities designed to finance high school education as well as various training programs are becoming increasing popular.
ERGO Life's product line also features various accident programs. The company provides coverage for such events as accidental death, disability, both permanent and temporary, injury, critical illness, surgery, stay at a hospital, etc.
ERGO Life is growing fast both in Moscow and elsewhere. 2006-2007 saw new branch openings in St-Petersburg, Tyumen, Kazan.
Since 2006 ERGO Life is an exclusive member of the INSUROPE Multinational Benefits Association. INSUROPE is an international pool connecting corporate life insurance plans throughout the world. Being part of the pool enables ERGO Life to increase the competitiveness of its insurance products.

ERGO Russ provides insurance services to both private persons and legal entities. ERGO Russ's product line includes motor, cargo, property, liability insurance, business interruption. With over 30 thousand policies a month, ERGO Russ is also one of the market leaders in motor TPL obligatory for trips around Europe (Green Card). The company was one of the first to open points of sale of Green Card policies in regions bordering Finland, Estonia and Latvia.ERGO Russ operates branches in Moscow, Pskov, Vyborg, Ivangorod and Kaliningrad. |
