Overview:

Integrity in relation to our clients and a maximum of seriousness and reliability are the reasons for the trust our clients place in us, in some cases lasting many decades. CP&P is an accounting and auditing firm incorporated as a partnership with seven partners and a team of qualified staff. We service clients of all sizes and types of incorporation but mainly our clients are family or owner managed companies and medium-sized companies that belong to the proverbial German Mittelstand. Our goals are to elaborate sophisticated all-in-one solutions for our clients. Constant expansion bears out the viability of our approach. Our partners and staff normally service a permanent stock of clients and where specialist competence is needed the corresponding specialists are brought in from elsewhere in the firm.

In an international perspective, we are an independent member of Baker Tilly International Ltd. In that way we can also ensure highly qualified service for our clients worldwide.

Long-term success requires broadness of vision and strong partners. We at CP&P see ourselves as competent advisors who help you to make successful entrepreneurial decisions on the basis of well-founded analysis. In close collaboration, we service each client individually. In doing so, your corporate philosophy becomes our yardstick and your goals become our objectives. In this context we put great stress on engaging in continuous dialogue with you. Our individually formed teams combine their specific knowledge and generate from the analysis performed suggestions and proposals that are meant to open up new perspectives for you and to help you proceed further, because we are only successful if you succeed.

To keep our advice up-to-date and future oriented at all times, we engage in intense continuing education, both in-house and externally. Our constantly updated library and our modern media provide support to us in this endeavour.

History:

Our professional partnership firm in its current form goes back to 1931. Its founder was Erich Zimmermann, juris doctor and chartered tax accountant.

In 1950 the present senior partner, Helmut Clauss (juris doctor), joined as a working student. After passing his first public bar exams and accountancy exams in 1960 he became a partner of Dr Erich Zimmermann.

In 1962 Dr Eberhard Paal (MBA) joined the firm as it was then constituted, initially as an employee. After passing his accountancy exams in 1967 he became one of the firm’s additional partners. Dr Zimmermann left the firm upon retiring in 1969.
The additional partners have been taken on board since 1992.

Our registration as a professional partnership with the Partnership Register of Essen Local Court occurred in 2000 under the registration number of HR-PR 685.
Dr Paal left the firm at the end of 2004.
