Overview:

"Decacorn" is the new buzzword of the start-up world. Coined by Bloomberg in 2015, Decacorn refers to new breed start-ups that are worth US$ 10 billion or more. In late 2013, only Facebook was in that category, but as of today Airbnb, Pinterest, Snapchat, Uber and 8 others have made that list.

Tech startups worth US$ 1 billion are often referred to as "Unicorns". Today, with more than 80 of them around and fast growing, there is nothing unique or rare about Unicorn any more. Unicorn and Decacorn might be imaginary, but this new generation of start-ups with disruptive technology is not a myth, but a reality – the new normal.

Decacorn Capital is a Euro-Asian, Cross-border, Early-Stage Venture funding initiative, which invests in game changing start-ups enabled by the innovative use of technology and led by high-caliber, passionate founders who are out there with the mission to either create a delight or solve a real problem.

Our aim is to invest in start-ups that are looking for investors who can help them take the next big leap in their life cycle.

At Decacorn Capital, we seek to provide global access to start-ups we invest in through cross border initiatives undertaken out of our offices in Singapore, Tel Aviv, New Delhi and London.

We endeavour to connect 2 billion underserved consumers in South East Asia and India, with pioneering, deep-tech work in Europe and Israel, thus unlocking superior returns to our portfolio investments and our investors.

We look for Seed to Series-A start-ups using technology as the key driver to a disruptive business models with a clear path to monetization.

For Seed stage we co-invest with accelerators, incubators and sovereigns besides leading rounds with a typical bite size of US$ 50K – 500K.

In case of Series-A, our sweet spot ranges between US$ 500K to US$ 2 million, usually in a co-investment round with Sovereigns (in Singapore and Israel) and other VC-PE Funds.
