History:
During the last decade, the law firm that is now Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC emerged from the combination of the attorneys and practices of four highly regarded firms.
Buchanan Ingersoll PC, which traces its history to 1850, engaged in business finance and governance, commercial litigation, employment and labor, financial institutions, business and personal tax and health care.
Klett Rooney Lieber & Schorling, a Pittsburgh-based firm since 1965, engaged in commercial litigation, employment and labor, real estate and business finance and government relations.
Burns Doane Swecker & Mathis LLP, founded in 1936, focused on international intellectual property practice covering patent and trademark prosecution, portfolio development, litigation, reexamination, interference, and transactions.
Silverstein and Mullens, a Washington, D.C. firm founded in 1960, focused on business and personal tax, estate planning and editing the BNA Tax Management Portfolio.
Today, as an integrated organization, Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney continues to build core practice areas and industry capabilities that reflect the needs and expectations of our clients. |
