Overview:

Valartis Group AG, domiciled in Baar/ZG, is a holding company listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange and is controlled by MCG Holding AG, Baar, through its 51.4% stake. Its share capital of CHF 5 million is divided into 5 million bearer shares (ISIN CH0001840450) with a nominal value of CHF 1 each, of which 5.8% are owned by the company itself.

Valartis Group AG is a public limited company under Swiss law. It directly or indirectly holds a shareholding in a number of fully consolidated, unlisted companies. These shareholdings are completely listed in the Annual Report. As a Swiss banking group Valartis Group is supervised on a consolidated basis by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA).

History:

The Valartis Group as it exists today was formed at the end of 2005 from the merger between the OZ Group and the operating MC Trustco companies of MCG Holding AG. Since 2007, it has traded under the name “Valartis” – a combination of the words valere and artis, meaning something along the lines of “The art of creating value”.
