Harris Fraser is a boutique investment advisory firm specializing in macro-asset allocation and income producing investment strategies. The firm's clients and partners include a niche of international financial market participants, and high net-worth individuals.

Founded in 1990 in Hong Kong, Harris Fraser is recognized for its rigorous approach to operational improvement, forensic pre-trade analysis and compliance, macro focus and active investment management approach. Clients are comforted in the knowledge that the firm's Partners located in Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore, are also invested in markets and accessible to clients throughout market cycles.

Harris Fraser has offices and advisers in Foshan, Beijing, Taipei, Hong Kong, Singapore and Sydney. It is licensed in Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia, and is an External Asset Manager (EAM) of our preferred markets products and global research providers throughout the region.

The Partners and Client Advisers of Harris Fraser (Australia) Pty Ltd , are based at Lvl 31 RBS Tower Sydney, and represent over 45 years of financial markets and wealth management experience, coming from the leading Private Banks, Financial Planning and Advice firms, Hedge Funds and Trading Desks, in Sydney, London, Singapore and Hong Kong.

Our service providers include the globe's tier 1 research, brokerage and private banking firms with combined market capitalization of approximately US$348.4B as at May 2010. Harris Fraser's service providers are selected for the appropriate market access, research capability and independence, and previous relationship with the firm. Credit ratings sit between Moody's A2 and Standard and Poor's AA-. These relationships provide customised banking services, electronic access to stocks, bonds, funds and leading research.

Harris Fraser is a member of the Association of Independently Owned Financial Planners (AIOFP), representing over 150 practices ranging from large national dealer groups to one person practices. Total advisors exceed 2500 with over 35 billion of funds under administration/advice.

Harris Fraser utilises the research and approved product list of the Filtered Research Centre (FRC). The FRC is a member owned research facilitation service that delivers conflict free research information to members in a cost effective fashion. The AIOFP has been critical of the conflicted research culture where product manufacturers are paying research houses to rate their products. FRC has appointed global player Mercer Consulting as its principle supplier of funds management information with supplementary services from McGregor Asset Consulting. Both Mercer and McGregor do not accept conflicted payments from product manufacturers. For ASX product research FRC has facilitated both JB Were and Morgan Stanley Smith Barney to provide market research and advice to FRC subscribers.
