Trinity Ventures is a boutique early stage venture firm with an unwavering dedication and respect for entrepreneurs. We are smart, focused, passionate professionals with significant experience, deep expertise and a sincere commitment to help entrepreneurs build enduring companies. We were founded in 1986 by two entrepreneurs who saw the opportunity for a different approach to venture capital — an approach long on collaboration, short on hierarchy, and with none of the “our way or the highway” mentality.

Our focus is on seed and early stage companies in targeted technology categories: Cloud/Mobile Infrastructure, Digital Media, Software-as-a-Service, and Social Commerce and Entertainment. We’ve intentionally stayed at a fund size that enables us to maintain close ties between our team and those of our portfolio companies. What this means is that, of necessity, we must limit the number of investments we make. Trinity Ventures is financially, intellectually and emotionally committed to the success of our portfolio companies. We want to have the bandwidth to deliver this commitment to every entrepreneur we fund.

At the end of the day, venture capital is a business built on relationships. And like any relationship, the best ones are equal parts leaps of faith, open communication and hard work. We’re a team of VCs dedicated mind, heart and soul to building companies around our entrepreneurs’ vision and hard work. To us, it’s personal.
