Since the IFP was established by our founding members in 1986, we have been at the forefront of representing the Financial Planning profession and those who work within it. Today, this purpose remains core to everything we do.

Our commitment to the development of the profession for the benefit of consumers involves:

   Facilitating the development of skills and knowledge in Financial Planning
   Building professional communities
   Helping members to meet professional standards
   Recognising excellence
   Influencing stakeholders.

We achieve this through our membership scheme, training courses and events. FPSB (UK), our wholly owned subsidiary, provides Financial Planning qualifications.

Overview:

The IFP is a not for profit, independent professional body established in 1986 to focus entirely on the professional practice of Financial Planning.

We're the UK professional body for those committed to the development of the multi-disciplinary profession of Financial Planning. We're also an Accredited Body, appointed by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to issue statements of professional standing (SPS) to members who meet the requirements.
