Overview:

Channel Life started the business in 2001 with a balance sheet of R200 million. Between 2002 and 2004, the business grew organically via institutional business and retail fixed interest products.

Alternative Channel was launched in 2005 as a seperate linked investment license from Channel Life, with Channel Life holding 98% of the Alternative Channel shares.

In 2006, Alternative Channel made an offer to m Cubed Holdings to obtain mCubed Life’s book, via a Reinsurance transaction.

In 2007, PSG Group bought Alternative Channel from Channel Life and PSG FutureWealth was launched with a balance sheet of around R8 billion. Driven to succeed through original thinking, its growth has been dynamic.
