Examples of our experience
* Advised the Oman Investment Fund on its £445m joint venture with Hammerson UK Properties Plc to acquire Bishops Square in Spitalfields, London. The deal was the largest property transaction in London in 2009.
* Advised on the operation of the Sohar Industrial Port covering 2,100 hectares, including port rules and regulations, land plot agreements, concessions, and licenses for petrochemicals, metals, and logistics clusters (22 industries to date, totalling over US$12 billion investment, and increasing).
* Advising on the privatisation/commercialisation/development of portable water and wastewater projects, including Al Masarrat Water Scheme (US$120m), Ash’Sharqiya Water Scheme (US$150m), Muscat/Oman Wastewater System (US$300m) and Salalah Wastewater System (US$31m).
* Advising on the privatisation/development of electricity including Salalah Power System (US$260m), Sharqiya Power System (US$200m) and Manah Power II System (US$90m).
* Advising on the development of tourism concessions, including integrated tourist complexes (ITC) such as The Wave Muscat development (US$700m) and Blue City (US$1bn), Tourist operations (Al Hoota Cave), counselled on the Review of Foreign Ownership of Integrated Tourist Complex Law, and ITC development property rules and regulations.
* Advising on the development of the Muscat Hills Golf and Country Club (US$500m), including shareholders and investor agreements (1.2 million m2 development with Oman’s first 18-hole championship golf course, hotel, commercial and residential units). |
