History:
In 1993, the doors of what would become Mountain West Bank officially opened at the corner of Government Way and Ironwood Drive in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Today, the bank that originally operated from inside a trailer now serves customers from branches conveniently located across the states of Idaho, Utah and Washington. Since its founding days, Mountain West Bank has been dedicated to the mission of providing customers with Legendary Customer Service and our employees and shareholders with outstanding success and opportunity. Although Mountain West Bank operates independently with all decisions made locally in the communities we serve, we are a subsidiary of Glacier Bancorp, a publicly traded bank holding company headquartered in Kalispell, Montana. Through our many notable full-service branches, we offer customers a full complement of consumer and business products including checking and savings accounts, Certificates of Deposit, IRAs and Money Market Accounts. Our lending services include residential, construction, commercial and consumer products. We also offer credit and debit cards, online banking products, the uniquely popular Totally Free personal and business checking and services, including online bill pay for consumers and cash management services for businesses. Other business products include Positive Pay and Merchant Bankcard services.
In addition to many products and services designed for excellence in personal banking, we are proud of the many ways we’ve helped business customers create their own success stories. In fact, we are a Small Business Administration Preferred Lender, the leading SBA lender in Idaho, and we proudly provide more SBA loans than any other state-chartered bank.
Our board of directors (nearly 50% of whom have served with the bank since its first year in operation), our management and personnel are singularly committed to the philosophy that says banking should be about much more than just financial products.
