Overview:
BOC International Holdings Limited (“BOCI”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bank of China Limited (“BOC”), is positioned to serve as the key platform for BOC’s investment banking business. While BOCI was incorporated in Hong Kong on 10 July 1998, its predecessor China Development Finance Company (HK) Limited was established in 1979.
In February 2002, BOCI promoted and established BOC Internatinal (China) Limited in Shanghai in partnership with China National Petroleum Corp, State Development & Investment Corp, Hongta Tobacco (Group) Ltd, China General Technology (Group) Holdings Ltd and Shanghai State-owned Assets Operations Co Ltd. It was the first Sino-foreign joint-venture securities firm to be granted a general securities license for Renminbi-denominated ordinary shares (Class A shares). In 2006, BOC Internatinal (China) Limited was qualified as an innovative securities provider by China Securities Regulatory Commission.
