Overview:

CFA Society of Melbourne is a member society of CFA Institute.   The Melbourne Society currently has a membership of 344 Members and 13 Candidate Members. We are a member-focused organisation, run by a group of dedicated volunteers elected by the members.   Numerous firms and institutions are represented in the membership base with CFA Charterholders holding positions as diverse as CEO/Principal through to student or self employed.

Our society is an association of local investment professionals. Consisting of portfolio managers, security analysts, investment advisors, and other financial professionals, we promote:

   * ethical and professional standards within the investment industry,
   * encourage professional development through the CFA Program and continuing education,
   * facilitate the exchange of information and opinions among people within the local investment community and beyond, and;
   * work to further the public's understanding of the CFA designation and investment industry.

As one of CFA Institute member societies, our society connects members to a global network of investment professionals.

The CFA Society of Sydney is a member society of CFA Institute. The CFAS has grown rapidly from its beginnings in 1996 and currently has a membership of over 900 members (as at September 2009), of whom 91% hold the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. CFAS is a member-focused organisation, run by a group of dedicated volunteers elected by the members.

Our society is an association of local investment professionals engaged in a wide variety of roles including corporate finance, portfolio management, security analysis and investment advice. We aim to promote the highest ethical and professional standards within the investment industry; we encourage professional development through the CFA program and continuing education; we facilitate the exchange of information and ideas within our local investment community and beyond and we work to further the recognition of the CFA designation and what it stands for.   As one of CFA Institute member societies, we also connect our members with a global network of investment professionals.
